august gave us so many reasons to celebrate, with late summer gatherings that felt colorful, personal, and full of thoughtful details. we leaned into playful patterns, beautiful tabletop moments, interactive experiences, and plenty of seasonal inspiration. here’s a look at what we’ve been creating and celebrating this month.
claudia’s bridal shower
claudia’s bridal shower was an elegant, modern celebration filled with thoughtful and interactive details. guests were invited to create their own custom fragrance at a beautifully styled perfume bar, then bottle their scent as a take-home keepsake in custom packaging inspired by the wedding invitation. lush florals surrounded the vignette and made the experience feel especially beautiful. for lunch, elevated salads and pizzas were presented among organic stone accents, cascading grapes, and bosc pears. the mix of soft blooms, natural textures, and warm golden-brown tones created a setting that felt sophisticated, abundant, and effortless.
ari’s 1st birthday
ari’s first birthday, “carival,” transformed the backyard into a colorful family carnival celebrating this sweet little boy turning one. guests spent the afternoon playing carnival games, visiting the petting zoo, bouncing, and enjoying a fun, casual lunch together. a custom red and white striped carnival backdrop created the sweetest spot for photos and ari’s smash cake, while bright balloons, playful florals, striped linens, and vintage animal cracker tins carried the theme through every detail. the whole day felt joyful, nostalgic, and full of color.
lauren’s birthday
lauren’s birthday brought la dolce vita to the backyard with a celebration filled with lemons, tomatoes, oysters, pasta, and the happiest mix of prints. the bar was dressed in a custom skirt with bold cabana stripes, while bright florals, aperol, citrus, and tinned fish carried the italian-inspired theme through every detail. guests sipped spritzes, martinis, and signature cocktails before gathering for a mediterranean-style dinner with lobster rolls, branzino, ceviche, orecchiette, and summer salads. after dinner, our cart transformed into an affogato station with espresso and ice cream for the sweetest ending to the evening. buon compleanno, lauren!
rehearsal dinner
this rehearsal dinner proved that sometimes a change in plans makes the setting even better. when rain moved in, we shifted the floor plan and brought the bar into the greenhouse, where candlelight, rain pattering against the glass, baskets of freshly harvested produce, and dill pickle martinis made the space feel especially magical. the long dinner table moved into the gallery hall beneath incredible artwork, layered with playful pattern, simple ferns, candlelight, and benches along one side. what began as a weather pivot became one of the coolest tables in the house.
emily and harrison’s wedding
emily and harrison’s wedding was soft, romantic, and layered with the prettiest mix of sage green, ivory, and blush.
we carried the palette through patterned linens, botanical dinnerware, delicate florals, green taper candles, and a custom checkered dance floor that tied the entire room together. each place setting was finished with a ribboned name tag, while candlelight and glass lamps added a warm glow throughout dinner.
a pair of custom panels welcomed guests and later became the seating chart, surrounded by florals and candlelight. from the bar details to the layered tabletop, every element felt elegant, personal, and beautifully cohesive.
backyard soiree
this backyard summer party was fresh, colorful, and full of playful seasonal details. we layered red and white patterns with natural wood, woven textures, and loose garden-inspired florals filled with strawberries, tomatoes, chamomile, and greenery. the bar carried the same cheerful mix, with patterned linens, fresh produce, and a strawberry thyme lemonade that felt made for a summer afternoon. inside, a grazing spread continued the look with gingham, rattan, fresh fruit, cheeses, breads, and small bites. the whole celebration felt relaxed, abundant, and perfectly at home in the backyard.
terri and bob’s 60th
terri and bob’s 60th was a colorful nod to mid-century entertaining, filled with playful retro details and plenty of personality. we leaned into a vibrant palette of turquoise, chartreuse, orange, pink, and yellow, with an atomic-inspired print wrapping the bar and vintage-style serving pieces layered throughout. colorful glassware, retro ice buckets, cocktail accessories, and a record player helped bring the 1960s inspiration to life. a generous grazing table filled with charcuterie, fruit, cheeses, and nostalgic touches made the celebration feel festive, colorful, and full of retro charm.
